Day Camp Counsellor
Remington YMCA in Quarry Park
Salary: $132.00/day-$136.00/day
Start Date: June 12th, 2026
End date: August 28th, 2026
Successful candidates will be required to attend training on the following weekends:
In addition, branch-specific training will be scheduled on both weekdays and weekends. Weekday sessions will begin at 5:00 p.m., and weekend sessions will begin at 9:00 a.m.
Due to Camping Association Standards, counsellors must be 16 years of age or older

- Interest in working with children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Previous Day Camp or related experience working/interacting with kids preferred
- Intermediate (Standard) First Aid (valid within three years of the certification date from an approved AB OHS provider)
- CPR-C (valid within one year of the certification date from an approved AB OHS provider)
- Evidence of a clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search within 12 months
- Three professional references
- Available evenings and weekends in June 2026 for mandatory training
- Available full-time from July through August, weekdays
- Experience in any of the following would be an additional asset: Visual arts, drama, dance, photography, swim, basketball, skating.
