Maintenance Technician

Role:
You will work closely with the Maintenance Coordinator, and Property/Assistant Property Managers, as well as vendors, contractors, tenants, and property owners, to ensure our properties are functioning well and are well maintained. Your role is crucial in providing tenants a high quality, safe, and secure rental experience while adding value to a property owner’s asset.
Responsibilities:
- Communicates effectively with, and treats all interactions with customers, vendors, tenants, clients, and team members with respect.
- Respond to maintenance request work orders from tenants and Property Manager/Assistant Property managers in an efficient, timely and quality manner.
- Assist in preparation of apartments for move-ins.
- May assist with interior and exterior work at rental units, including items such as minor landscaping, minor snow removal, trash clean up, preventative maintenance tasks, minor plumbing or electrical repairs, minor HVAC repairs, drywall patching/painting, minor woodworking, door, or cabinet repairs, and random small home repairs as needed.
- Routinely inspect various properties exterior and common areas, including safety hazards and concerns, and identify potential hazards.
- Complete scheduled unit inspections and related reports.
- Utilize software to complete work orders and accurately enter information regarding hours and supplies used for billing purposes.
- Assisting team members with other duties to make sure our company is successful.
Results:
- Any tenant, client, vendor, or prospective customer communication (phone, text, email) is responded to within 24 hours (1 business day) of any inquiry.
- One visit repair/task completion, including inspections.
- All properties in our portfolio are well maintained and property owners and tenants are satisfied.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to complete tasks on time
- Ability to learn new skills and ask questions
- Ability to seek out and adapt to new processes or technology that allows our team to do their jobs more efficiently and effectively
- Valid Driver’s License
- Basic Tools
- Ability to pass Background Check
- Must be able to work some evenings/weekends

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
